**Closed for the season due to a water leak.** Camp Roosevelt Campground is the site of the first Civilian Conservation Corps Camp in the Nation. Follow the path through the CCC camp and view the foundations where the actual buildings once stood. Proud and lofty oak trees create the perfect atmosphere for enjoying a simple picnic or camping out with friends or family.
In Luray, VA, at intersection of US Rts. 211B (Main St.) and 340, take Rt. 340 north 0.1 miles to Mechanic St. Turn left onto Mechanic St. (becomes Bixlers Ferry and State Rt. 675) and go 3.3 miles to a "Y" intersection. Bear left, staying on Rt. 675, and go 0.4 miles to a "T" intersection. Turn right, continuing on Rt. 675 (Fort Valley Rd.), and go 4.2 miles to campground on right.
