This place is excellent especially if you're looking for something one step more outdoorsy than car camping. Assessable only from boat. There's a ferry that you can take or take your own boat and rent a boat mooring. Camp sites are all well maintained and come with a fire pit and some have a lean-to. Running water stations are around as well as bathrooms with showers. There's some activities for kids like face painting and you can rent bikes and canoes. There's also a small general store for random things.

Great place to bring the whole family! Disc golf course on the island, swimming area, beach, clear water and calm. Very convenient if launching from South Hero or St Albans.

Swiming better on the far west side of the island. Go towards the diamonds marked p with a number that do not appear in the legend. Also, do not trust the map it was not made by anyone with even the slightest idea of where things are. The map is like a suggestion of things that may be in the general area.

Staff were great, very nice and accommodating, excellent day trip.

Park staff if you are ever looking for a better map, let me know. A great park deserves a great map.

The Gem of Vermont State parks! An exceptional and unique experience. Take a boat ride, get away from it ALL and still have all the amazing services you expect from a typical VSP. The staff do an amazing job, grounds and sites are beautiful and well cared for and the bathrooms, though older, are some of the cleanest you'll find in any park. 10/10 experience. I recommend calling ahead of your reservation to get a run down of how things work as it is a bit of a different process camping on the island but the staff are always super helpful, even over the phone.
