From jct I-84 (exit 53) & US 209: Go 300 yds NE on US 209/US 6, then 3/4 mi E on Reuben Bell Dr.
This campground is in the perfect place for campers traveling North on I-84. There are few campgrounds in New York and almost none in Connecticut. It is easy to get in and has full hookups and cable plus the price is very reasonable. I find these other campground reviewers totally miss the point of the need for travelers to stop for the night.
Parked here for a year and a few days. Owners were awesome. Close to everything you might need. The road noise is there, but not overwhelming. Received many packages and they were always accommodating. I would definitely stay there again. Feed the deer!!
We stayed there for almost a year. Very nice owners and monthly rates were reasonable. The problem is the highway noise. It's insane. You are camping 50 feet from semis using engine brake at a bottom of the huge hill next to an exit. We had to use ear plugs to sleep and headphones to watch TV. Never saw any reactional visitors. Mainly contraction workers. It was fun trying to keep thing from freezing in winter.
