We just tried stopping in at the general store. At 5:05pm because the web site states that it closes at 7pm. Tried the door to no avail - we're walking toward another door to check it when a woman sticks her head out of the door and yells "What do you want?" Well, we were wondering if the store was still open ... NO that's why it's locked. GREAT customer service, warm welcome, golly all we wanted were some brochures of the area. No one in this camground has been kind or friendly, evidently radiating from the front office on down. Oh wait, I just remembered it's a Travel Resorts of America, and based on our experiences with TRA this will absolutely be our last attempt camping with them.
We visited friends at this campground and were very impressed with what we saw. The pool is huge and has 3 sections. The playground is huge and has shuffleboard and gaga ball. A newly installed community fire pit is gorgeous and has tons of seating. There is a Pavillion with tables and chairs. There is a community center that is very welcoming. We saw a food truck and a snack bar although neither were open because it was late evening. The roads are freshly gravel-ed. Sites seem big and well-spaced. We would happily camp here.
