We traveled through, spending two nights in mid-September. The check in process was fast & simple and the campground was easy to navigate. We chose Electric/Water only, but they offered complimentary pump-out service if we had needed it. They have a nice little shop with ice cream at reasonable rates. Free mini-golf and nice looking pools (pools were closed for the season by September). The area we were in was all level gravel, so easy to park but hard for the dogs to find "relief" without a little bit of a walk. 5G Verizon and free WiFi, though neither produced a consistently good connection. A local vendor was in selling consumable goods (baked, jarred, etc) and they were pleasant to talk to. Would come again!

Service and hook up amenities were excellent. Check in process and staff were great. Lot was a pull through, which was fine but over grown fruit tree that dropped orange sized fruit on my vehicles, throughout my stay. I would recommend removing tree like that, posing as safety risk to personal property, people, and pets. Other then that, great stay!

Our Halloween weekend trip with just the BOYS – my two SONS and my neighbor and HIS SON– got off to a PERFECT start. Packing up the camper was quick and efficient, the 3.5-hour drive was pleasant, and arriving at the property 15 minutes ahead of schedule was hassle-free. There was ample parking near the office for check-in, which was convenient.

However, my enthusiasm waned when I pulled into spot 22. The spot was designated for a 36-foot trailer, and I have a 35-foot trailer with three slide-outs, two on one side and one on the other. To make it work, I had to carefully maneuver the trailer to one side, ensuring there was enough clearance for the one slide-out to the utilities and enough room to relax on the other side. It seemed like everyone else around me managed to get their tow vehicles comfortably beside their trailers, which left me feeling a bit cramped since I was unable to.

My major issue, though, was an encounter with an employee I'll affectionately call "Karen." She confronted me and accused me of speeding within the campsite. I found this quite perplexing, as it took me a good 20 minutes to maneuver out of the campsite due to the Halloween festivities that brought a lot of people around. I would never speed, especially with my group of three boys and two adults on board and having two daughters at home. Later, I even found out from one of my sons that a fellow male camper confronted Karen and stated that I was never speeding. Thank you fellow camper!

Despite this Karen encounter, we managed to have a great weekend overall. We didn't spend too much time at the campsite, as we were mostly out exploring the rich historical offerings in the area. It's just a shame that this one incident marred an otherwise enjoyable weekend.

FYI, the ride home we stopped at a service plaza to fuel up. This lady parked her car at the only fuel pump I could get to and went inside for 20 minutes.....

Response to reply.... I was not speeding! Dash cam to prove it and fellow campers to back me up! I have kids, and I'm a firefighter! I DO NOT SPEED unless it's an emergency. FYI I was on my way to get more candy for the kids.

A great campground to stay. Site are cleared and very spacious. Very clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Only comment I have for improvement is minimal. Stayed at site #23 and the utility hook ups are shared with site #24; which was a good distance from my camper. Had to use two hoses and the electric cord just made it. Overall, a great experience and we look forward to going back.
