Camp on the Mohican State Scenic River on the Wally Road Scenic Byway in Western Holmes County outside Loudonville. BIG RIG FRIENDLY! Large campsites are available on river or off river with 20/30/50 amp electric service, playground, sand volleyball, basketball, horseshoes, fishing, camp store, free showers, flush toilets & dump station. Canoeing is available right from the campground, no need to drive anywhere. Full service cabins are available. Cabins sleep 2-12 with all the comfort of home & more.
The new owners have made this very nice. Kept clean, and appreciate the flush toilets and internet connection, especially since you like reservations and check in online. Suggestions would be to have at have least basic camp store with food supplies at least during the main season, bread, milk, eggs, smores supplies etc. Small swimming area for those that cannot tube. Thanks for the nice stay!
Beautiful campground the site we where on was truly the nicest. #16. The lodge are was beautiful. Very friendly and courteous staff! Priceless views. I'm sure as years go by the improvements for campers will make this park top notch!
We have been coming to the campground for years. We love camping on the river. This past weekend was a spontaneous trip for my husband and I, we stayed in the cabin this time. Very clean cabin with most necessities. We love the Junction and the atmosphere, the staff is awesome.
Overall a very nice campground—clean, no trash, maintained well. Reservation staff was wonderful and very accommodating. Only issue was a family visitor was driving a bit too fast. The male staff (group of 4) who stopped by to inform the driver of the speed limit was extremely rude and nasty. Almost felt like they were in for a fight. Could have been respectful. The river sites a very nice. Campground was quiet during the evenings and overnight which was great.
First time staying in Bears Den Cabin at The Lost Horizon Family Campground. What a beautiful place . The covered bridge night lights are awesome. Watching the snow fall around the Junction was gorgeous. The cabin was clean, well arranged and furnished . Really a great place for a getaway with family and friends. The Eagles Nest Cabin was just as nice. We were very pleased with the cabins. Hope others will give it a try.
