Sulfer Lake was much better. The public is no longer welcome there for swimming. Im sure the upkeep of the place and the cleanliness of the camp will be better off without the public paying a small fee to swim but thats what made it an even better place. My wife and i was told on 2 different occasions, 2 separate days, that the public was not welcome. Told a friend of ours the same thing. This is the 1st we heard about a membership. Sorry about the review but 2 different gentlemen said the same thing on different days.

Very disappointed in the tent camping area! There are like 4 spots and they are all together right next to the busy road. Not at all what I expected! Only rated it two stars cuz the gentleman was nice enough to refund us after we realized how close to the road we were. Not cool to drive 1- 2 hours for a park that was not what it was described on website.

We arrived Thursday evening for a 3 night stay and were happy to find a well kept campground and very nice staff. We had no problems while there, and the guests all seemed to obey the rules, and were quite friendly. 2 real nice ponds, 1 for swimming and the other for non-motorized boating and fishing. 3 things that I think could be improved upon, but none of these would keep us from coming back. 1)additional dumpster somewhere near the front of the park 2) updated restrooms/showerhouses and 3) improve the dump station

All in all, it was a nice place to stay, and we will go back

As full time RV-ers, we stayed here for an extended amount of time. The grounds were always kept up with, the shower houses were always clean, the swimming pond is clear, and the fishing lake is stocked with plenty of fish! The staff and locals that stay here are very kind. They have family events and a large grass area for dogs to run. For full hook up, the price is unbeatable! We would highly recommend this campground to anyone!

BEST CAMPGROUND!

I stayed about 3 months over this summer while working in the area . Had a fantastic time . The monthly rate was very affordable, the electric rate was at least half that of other campgrounds I've stayed at. The shower house was always clean, the campground is well kept. Fairly quiet on weeknights, the usual noise on weekends. The other full time campers were very friendly. We made some new friends, and hope to come back to stay again. I highly recommend this campground!!
