People that answer the phones are so rude. They hung up the phone on me when I was still talking, mid sentence. i asked if the campground was flooded she said “no” and i said “oh okay I heard..” and she said “BYE” and hung up. The reservoir flooded down the river from rain and the river is shut down, I was reading online about flooding on the campsites so I called to discuss a refund. I was told no refund on the couple hundred dollars I spent on the campsites, very disappointed and won’t be returning or recommending.
First time at the Indian Pow Wow the staff was great and the environment was amazing will definitely plan more trips to mohican reservations. Right on the river, perfect location for kayaking, tubing, etc
Awesome place to camp . Everyone complaining about the music being on from 7am to 3 is lying . They have a rule to turn it down so people can sleep at 11 pm… music is of course loud during the day people are camping and having fun… I guess If you’re a Karen you shouldn’t come 👌. Place is fun and the river is awesome
Lots were level and dry even when it rained. Quiet campground. Clean bathrooms and showers. Friendly staff and booking online and checking in. Would camp there again.
This place should be called “Mohican-DON’T MAKE A-Reservation”!!!
We camp every other weekend May-October and are always trying new places. This is BY FAR the WORST campground experience we have EVER had! Terribly RUDE staff members and Filthy facilities. Music blaring starting at 7am-3am. Teens driving around piled on top of laps on golf carts blaring the horn and all over the road and into camp sites.
The DJ was hanging out with some buddies beside the playground passing around a joint. Then after listening to several songs in a row about sex, drugs, guns, and other profanity while watching the kids play on the playground, tried to ask the DJ if he could be more aware of the song choices this early in the evening with the kids listening- I was told that he didn’t see the problem, he’s been playing there for years and if I didn’t like it- we could go back and I our camp site or leave! Granted… we could still hear the blaring music AT OUR CAMPSITE!
If you like to party until all hours, pass around the drugs, and find bloody condoms in the pavilion (yes we saw this, disgusting) then by all means… please stay here!!
