Take SR 7 to 681. Go 7 miles to SR 124. Turn right and go 3 miles to the park entrance. Park is 10 miles from Tupper Plains.
Great place. Clean. There's 3 or 4 different areas to rest at. The final spot has it's own little beach area to swim. It says no pets in that area but I've taken my dogs twice and kinda kept them to the side away from people. Nobody has complained. Most folks are happy to see them. Just clean up after them. There's plenty of other areas to let them roam though. Pretty sure there's a jungle gym of some sort for the kids. Also a disc golf course if you're into that.
This was my first time staying at Forked Run and we will definitely be back!! Great fishing, the campsites were great, and the location is great too! Loved the lack of cell service, gave me an excuse to ignore all of my work calls. There was plenty of facilities, and the bathrooms and shower houses were clean. If you come here you have to check out the night sky, there's 0 light pollution and you can see every star. We had a blast coming here, thank you!!
Nice easy paddle for the day, had several nice wildlife opportunities but never quite got THE shot for the camera equipment that was with me for the day.
We went kayaking on the lake. It was very quiet and peaceful, and the views where amazing. The lake is much bigger then it looks as we kayaked 3.2 to the other end from the docks.
