The new owners as of April 2014 are wonderful. They are friendly and are working hard to improve this campground, fixing many things the previous owners did not repair! The pool is open, the bathrooms are almost finished and soon there will be complete hookups and the shower house will be remodeled. All of the people we have met here are quite friendly and it is a nice, fairly quiet park.
Best campground ever!
My family and I have stayed here every year since the new owners took over. We absolutely LOVE it! The owners are wonderful and are willing to help however they can. All of the sites are full hook-up and the amenities such as the pool are great. They have a schedule and activities for the weekends including some fantastic performers. The campground is right by the lake so there is easy access for kayaking, boating, trail hiking, etc...
This is a wonderful family campground and we love that it is quiet at night so we can get some sleep, especially with a new baby! We look forward to camping here for many years to come!
This is our 3 rd year here. So many friendly people. Love our new lot. Still working on painting our deck.
This campground has the potential to be a great place, but it has failed to do so. There are many friendly campers that occupy seasonal spots at Lakeside. Without these campers donating their time and money to organize activities there would be nothing to do. The playground has very little equipment, and what it has is old. The pool wasn't open this year, and who knows if it will be available next season.( They did add more concrete seating area around the pool this past month. ) There is a huge activities barn that was updated last season. It looks nice, but it wasn't used for anything this season. Maybe next season? The owner of this campground isn't much of a "people person". He dispenses lots of rules, but doesn't show much appreciation for his customers. I would only recommend this place to retired folks who spend most of their time at their own campsites. It is NOT a family friendly place.
We have had our camper here for years. We love the community & the owner's are amazing! They are very inclusive and always try to get people together with activities, potlucks, bands, raffles, etc. They try to accommodate everyone and are very responsive to any and all questions/issues.
