We had Bud’s Marine winterize our boat this past year. They did not properly cover the boat as we requested and they left the battery on which completely drained it. It was not a nice surprise to discover that this spring. Melissa in the service department would not tell us what safety items were missing and needed. She stated they were too busy. She was just unhelpful. There were a few other items they did not do, but I think I have made my point. The service was not what was expected; therefore, we cannot recommend them.
Their response to my negative review is completely nonsensical and it is self-descriptive of the service and attitude we encountered. It is unfortunate that they spent more time responding to our review than what was spent properly servicing our boat.
From the first moment we met Kevin, we enjoyed our experience at Bud's Marine. Kevin is very knowledgeable and quickly was able to understand our desires. My Wife and I both felt his sincerity and honesty as we quickly were lead to the options that were on our target list. We left without making any commitment, checked out several other places and called back the next day to seal the deal. Kevin had the paperwork completed when we returned and really made it quick and easy for us to make the purchase. The service was outstanding by all. One technician even noticed my wife had twisted her ankle and volunteered to run and get some ice for her. Like we said, very conscientious employees. We would recommend Bud's Marine to anyone interested in buying a pontoon.
Chelsea made a new boot cover for our pontoon bimini top, and it looks great. She made a pattern from our old boot, and the new one is a perfect fit. Her price was very reasonable, and the work was done on time as promised.
I can’t say enough about Buds. We bought a pontoon this year during the boat show. There were lots of people there, but we felt as if we were the only ones there. Great experience #1!! Today I went there for winterizing supplies same service. It seemed like everyone working was helping me. Great experience #2. Awesome job Buds Marine with special thanks to Kevin. -Forever customer. My recommendation will always be to Buds.
I bought a Barletta L 25UE last year from Bud’s. Their service has been nothing short of terrific both before and after the sale. Their canvas shop also made me an excellent custom winter cover for the boat. They treat you like family and bend over backwards to make you happy.
