Camping is allowed at this popular lake but no specific sites are developed.

Such a beautiful place. Came from Cincinnati to do "dispersed camping " for the weekend and it was so peaceful.
Love camping, swimming and fishing also hiking love the area. I only live one and a half miles away
Came down near home to visit for my birthday in spring with my husband who is from SE MI. I wanted to show him the beauty of Hollerland Appalachia Ohio. It was breathtaking coming up over that ridge to be met with the absolutely gorgeous Timbre Ridge Lake in Wayne National Forest. We had our kayaks and you can find a spot along the lake to disperse camp. There is a boat launch (electric motor only) but it is steep so be careful not to slip on the algae. It was completely empty when we got there but 5 minutes later the parking lot was full. Kids were jumping off the pier, and people were fishing alongside the camp spots on the ridge. Watch out for large snakes. We hiked back on that road, stepped over and totally didn't see, including our dog Bubba, a very large snake pretending to be a stick. Luckily it wasn't agressive at all.
