I have made reservations at Jellystone Park months in advance. I kept track of the park updates because I knew it was going under some reconstruction. On one Facebook post they said they were having to push it back opening week at the park. I made a comment on it asking if it was going to effect the week that we would be there. They assured us that it would not affect it and everything went on as planned. Twelve days before we were to check in to the park I get an email saying that they had to shut down the park for 2 weeks due to sewage problems. They offered a full refund and I said I would gladly accept it. Tomorrow will be 10 days since they informed me of the closing and I still have not received a refund. They have also stopped responding to my emails. Anyone who lives on a budget and has a family knows how hard it is to plan a vacation, but doing it in 12 days and without access to the vacation budget is damn near impossible. My husband's and my vacation time request was already approved and we can not just up and change our dates. When I sent the full payment to Hocking Hills Jellystone Park they sure made sure to take the money ASAP. Getting the refund should not be this hard. I understand the reason for the closure was out of their control but the delay in repayment is definitely in their control.

Took the kids here for a day to enjoy. It was so much fun. The area is nice, out of the way, and property is clean.

The pond was a lot of fun for the kids. Several types of boats to mess with, fishing, swimming and the inflatable slide.

The boys got a bag of treasure to pan and they loved it. The camp store is nice and Emily who was working that day is great!

Was a lot of fun, will be back to enjoy another day!

This was the worst campsite we have ever had in all our 30 years of camping and the most expensive , $100 per night.

It was a corner of the street site with stones and a fire pit. The camper area was ruted and stones.

The overall campground left much to be desired . Never will I ever camp here again.

The price of $100 a night was because of the name “Jellystone” not the amenities and quality of the campground.

I’d love a $300 refund for our 3 nights

We booked in January for an August weekend trip with family. Both campsites were side by side. We even paid a price lock fee to ensure that our sites wouldn’t change. We got an email back in May stating that our sites were being taken away due to renovations. We were given new sites still side by side just smaller. That was fine but we were still paying the price lock fee for sites we didn’t even have anymore. When we got to the park we were assigned sites that were not what our last email stated nor were they side by side with our family. Again STILL paying site lock fee!

The construction going on in the park was horrible! Very unsafe for children with huge pipe dug into the ground beside the playground. Any child could have fallen in and been hurt. Walking out our door and 5 feet away was construction, rocks, sand, bricks and dirt that we had to walk through every time we went out our door.

I never had to deal with a worse owner (Darren) in all our camping experiences.

The price of the sites being $100 a night is steep but if the park had been in decent shape and if we as a family had gotten to stay beside each other, like we paid extra to do, then I wouldn’t have an issue.

Darren was over his head and couldn’t keep his park running efficiently or safely.

I would not recommend a trip here!
