Our park features paved roads, large concrete pads and patios, picnic tables, large shade trees. We have ice, soda, snacks, firewood with a few selected camping supplies and much more.
RV Park is located off I-55 Exit 102. Follow Lasalle Ave to Hwy W. Follow Hwy W south to the campground.
There is no playground or pool. No store in the office, but there is a Super Walmart 5 miles south on the west side of town.
We had a pull-through with full hook ups so we didn't have to unhook the trailer, but we did. The sewer run required extending 2 hoses.
They have some trees on the edge. They have asphalt roads, gravel driveways and concrete pads, and grass around the edge of the park and campsites. They have picnic tables and fire rings, but no BBQ grills. They have screw in sewer connections. Water pressure was adequate at 30 psi. Electrical is 30 and 50 amps. We threw a 30 amp circuit braker and had no problems resetting it.
There is cable TV with 23 Channels There is free WiFi that had excellent response. Verizon Wireless was 2 out of 5 bars; ATT wireless 5 out of 5 bars. More than 6 FM radio stations and one AM radio station.
There is two trash dumpsters by the office. There is no trash pick up; you walk it up yourself. There were few flies and no mosquitos. We would camp here again.
My wife is a travel nurse. This is one of our favorite parks we have ever stayed at. The staff are second to none. Big spots with lots of concrete. Our fur baby loved the big grassy spots. Easy access to town. Did I mention that the staff is nothing short of amazing?
It’s an ok place, but I do think it’s bad form to mow at 7:15am literally next to and in-between parking stalls. The restrooms need work. One shower room is awkward with two sinks, two curtained showers, and one toilet all in the open on one room. At least two of the other bathrooms doors wouldn’t close completely. Beyond those things, this park is tidy and easy to get in and out. No one was in the office when we arrived (during regular hours), and no one answered when we called. They did call back, and check-in was not complicated.
The location is very pretty and within minutes of any stores or restaurants you may be interested in. Rates are great. Each site is clean with plentyofroom. There are several shower rooms to choose from with lots of privacy. The laundry room is very clean. Machines are well maintained and affordable. Overall, it's a very quiet community and we've found other campers to be very friendly. The staff is helpful and very efficient if you need help with anything at your site. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
We had a very quiet night here at The Landing Point. Very well kept park on the river (or creek). It’s about 4 miles off of i55 but worth the detour. A large dog park and the cleanest one I’ve ever seen! The only dogs I needed to pick up after were my own!
The only problem we ran into is our power was out on our site but the staff had us plug into a spot next door so all was good.
