Went floating the yesterday and not only was the river pristine and beautiful, but we also caught some nice trout and had a wonderful kayak adventure. We actually came in about 2 hours late due to us not really paying attention to time , but the shuttle driver waited for us 2 + hours and was still very nice. Nice folks to float with for sure. I would give this place 10 stars if I could.
BEUTIFUL FLOAT and nice people to rent from >
We kayaked the river and it was awesome. The staff was friendly and informative. I wanted to go back tomorrow.
A family friendly outfitter that takes pride in taking care of their customers.. they always go above and beyond to cater to our services. They also offer a shuttle service where you do not have to leave your car by the river on overnight trips.
If you have your own canoes or kayaks and are looking to float the Eleven point river, I would definitely recommend Richards canoe rental.
Great service. Friendly staff. We put in at Greer Spring and floated to the Riverton access spending the night camping on the river. Our vehicle was there waiting for us the next day as promised.
11 Point River is Fantastic! Its super clean, lots of wildlife, several visits from Bald Eagles as well as otters, mink, and deer. This was our second year doing an October float. Each time we primitive camped on rock bars along the river and it was great. NO litter. NO cell service, NO manmade noise, other than our group of 8. Each night we found plenty of dead tree firewood and a site that would comfortably host our tents, canoes, gear and fire. We avoided the float camps as they were grown up and not as nice as the river bars.
Last year we camped our last night at Hufstedlers and it was okay. This year we opted to stay another night on the river, about 10 min from our Hwy 142 take out, and it was a much better choice. If you like primitive camping, I would advise staying on the river. Richards didn't look like it had much of a camping area.
We rented canoes from Hufstedler's last year and this year Richards. Both provided great service. Both had aged and somewhat damaged canoes (Broken seat at sharp edges on the Aluminum canoes from Hufstedlers, and bent hull and patched bottoms from Richards), but all floated fine. We had seen another group from Richard's that had nicer/newer canoes. We'll try to get a pick of the litter next time. Richards had ice for sale at the shop which allowed us to top off our coolers before launch. They also drove our cars at the take out point on Hwy 142 and delivered on time and without incident. Very pleased with their service!
