With over a mile of shoreline on one of the biggest lakes in the South, and great views from everywhere on the resort, you will love your visit to OCP's Texoma Shores Resort. The property has been a fishing camp for many years and now OCP is re-building the property to be one of our premier resort destinations. Resort has 30 RV sites, a 7-unit motel, four two-bedroom cabins, swimming beach, boat launch, RV and boat storage, and a new fishing pier.
Ok so this park doesn't have all the amenities that some others have, but just wait and keep reading.
1st. The manager, Lynn, is damn near a miracle worker. For most of our stay, 12 weeks, he was the only employee there. Sure there were some minor things that were put on the back burner, but everything that was important was done in a timely fashion. He did the office, house keeping, mowing, and tons of maintenance solo. The park looked great for a 1 man show.
2nd. The park is beautiful if you love nature, water, fishing, peace, and quiet. If your looking for a nice quiet rest, this place is great.
3rd. The people you meet are great. Almost everyone there was super friendly and eager to share a story, or meal, around the camp. On multiple occasions we had group cookouts. Most are willing to share the good fishing spots or local attractions, yes they are there if you know where to look.
So to put it simply, Texoma Shores is a hidden gem for those that like a slower pace and more relaxed RV park.
Me and my bestie came here for a weekend away from the city. We got the opportunity to rent a cabin and we were beyond excited when we got there. Lynn was waiting at the office when we showed up and explained all we needed to know about the cabin and the campgrounds. He was always on top of our requests, checked in daily, and was readily available. We had such a great experience that we are hoping to make it a regular trip. Wonderful place to get away for a weekend.
Nice quiet, well maintained RV resort, with a fishing dock, boat ramp, cabins and lodge! We’ve been coming here over 10 years, made some good friends and great memories! We always feel welcome…Lynn is a terrific manager, friendly, helpful and keeps well-maintained grounds!
The park itself is extremely quiet and peaceful. Didn't do any fishing this trip, but there is a boat ramp within the park and a fishing pier to fish from land. Facilities are definitely dated and need to be refurbished. This park, unlike some of the other Ocean Canyon Properties, is all about the lake. There are no events for kids or pools to go swim in. Makes it nice for older adults with adult kids to be able to enjoy the peace and quiet and just observe the lake and mother nature.
