I’ve stayed at KOA cabins since I was a child and I am now 45. In all those hundreds of visits all across the country over a 40 year span this was honestly the one and only KOA cabin that did not meet KOA’s usual standards of excellence. I’ve always known KOA cabins to be spotlessly clean and tidy (which is why I love them) but this cabin at this particular location was not clean. It smelled very strongly of urine and the mattress on the bed was so dingy dirty that we felt the need to check it thoroughly for bedbugs (fortunately we didn’t find any but the fact that we had to check it tells you something about how dirty the cabin felt). If we had not been so exhausted from our trip, we would have left and found other lodging but it was late so we felt forced to stick it out. This is the one and only KOA I am unable to recommend. We still love KOA campgrounds but not this one.
