Campground has pullouts for campers. Opportunities include day use and overnight camping.
Nice quiet camp and lake. Hardly anyone here. Good phone signal
The perfect spot to camp on a cross country trip. Just a few minutes off I-40, lots of camp sites (some with electric hookups), fire rings on many of the sites, beautiful little lake, lots of wild life. Forget a hotel for a night, bring some burgers and beers, light a campfire, enjoy a TX sunset. Here's a taste of what the view is like.
It was what we needed for the night. A place for our tent and a pit toilet. Complete with toilet paper and a baby rattle snake 🐍. The lake is all dryed up.
We loved it here! So beautiful (the sunrise over the reservoir was stunning!). First come first serve to get a campsite, we were there in late September on a weeknight and it was almost empty when we got there, just 2 or 3 other people. Lots and lots of bugs at night so be ready! We saw a scorpion and spotted an armadillo! Only a pit toilet (maybe because of COVID?) and there was cell service.
