Great 1 night stay & a very nice owner. Easy off & on I-40. We enjoyed a beautiful western sunset even in 38 degree temp. We had a pull through w/ tow with full service including WiFi at a very reasonable price!

Longhorn RV Park is located in Alanreed Texas, population 18. This is a great place for a brief stop. Overnight or just a few days to relax. Access could not be easier. The park is less than a mile off I-40 but road noise was minimal. There are 18 full hookup pull through spots that are mostly gravel and very level. Hookups are conveniently located. We have a 40ft motorhome and were towing and had plenty of space. There is also a picnic table and grill on each space. We found it very cool that old US Route 66 runs right by the park and we were literally only 30 feet away. There was no traffic so it was quiet and it was fun to think about what this road must have been like before the interstate. There is a cute little office with a collection of items outside, each one with a story. The owner stopped by after we got settled to say high and bring us some flowers from her garden. Overall, it feels like you are just visiting friends. Did I mention the price, $25 for full hookups, you can’t beat that.

Easily one of our favorite parks. Perfect for our needs - no frills, no pool, no dog park, no playground, NO KIDS, just a nice level spot to park for some peace and quiet. Sites are head-to-toe, but rarely is it that full - most park head toward the street. Good water, sewer and power but most importantly GREAT internet!!! There is some noise from I-40, but with our fans it didn't bother us at all. Lady who runs it is SO NICE. You drop your $30 in the mail slot and you are good for the night. This place is AWESOME!!!!

This was our 2nd stay here on our trip to CA and back to IL. Nice, quiet, full hook-ups. Beautiful sunsets, the owner is very nice. It is right of I-40 on Route 66 but the noise is minimal. Thanks for another great overnight. We are very glad we found this gem.
