We camped here for three days. Mostly quiet after dark. Close to amenities. Deputy sheriff lives on the grounds.

We called the county commissioner office and asked for a 3 day camp permit. Very easy to get. We didnt know quite where to park our 26' camp trailer so we just pulled off to the side above the boat ramp. The park was lit up all night. There were a few trucks that pulled in and left in the night and a few trucks with boats in the morning. There is a sheriff that lives on park grounds.

Nice fishing area and lots of wildlife there is a nice bird watching platform good easy to use boat ramp with plenty of parking clean restrooms and lots of shaded picnic tables. If you are traveling on I-10 i definitely recommend making a detour to go out here for a bit
