About Campground

Our primitive campgrounds include upper sites overlook Terlingua Ranch and all sites have a panoramic view of the Christmas Mountains, Corazones Peaks, and Whitehouse Mountain. Our lower sites are convenient to all Ranch amenities, including the bathhouse, pool, disc golf, horseshoes, cafe, corral and hiking opportunities. The upper sites are scenic but require a longer walk or short drive to our other facilities.

Terlingua Ranch is nearly 200,000 acres of land spread between Big Bend National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park. Our facilities are remote but centrally located to the many activities available in the Big Bend region.

Directions

When coming from the north, take Highway 118 south from Alpine, and turn west on the Terlingua Ranch Road. It is 16 miles to the office and campground. Your GPS may direct you to the Marathon Road, from Highway 385 near the north entrance to Big Bend National Park. Do not take this route, unless you are experienced and in a 4-wheel drive vehicle.

Nice spot to camp in a RV. This place is out there, last 3 miles off side road is gravel, well maintained. Folks who run ranch are very nice. Wifi is OK. We spend a week plus and explored the Big Bend area. Hiked Christmas Mountain
