Our wedding day was nothing short of magic. Ashley and her team host a ton of weddings and it shows. They were dialed-in and there was no stress or bustling about. The venue, on first glance, seems humble, but when everything was pulled together it was such a stunning setting. I was worried about the noise from the road when I first saw the space, but I can assure you it wasn’t noticed at all on wedding day. The rooms are simple but serve the purpose of having your guests stay onsite and the cabins were really sweet and fun for the wedding party. The best part was getting to ride up the mountain side in an ATV and take pictures at the top of the mountain. It was STUNNING. Everything from the ceremony site, the cocktail hour and the reception area just worked perfectly. We loved the flow of it. We loved the pond and getting married right by the mountain side. Ashley was really sweet to work with and just a nice human being overall. Stone Mountain is the right place for a couple who doesn’t care about the flashiness of some other more expensive venues, but knows that they can create a stunning wedding using the beauty of the surroundings. If you’re a Colorado bride at heart, then this venue is going to be a great fit — outdoors, a little funky, with so much heart. Perfect for us.
We chose this place because of its location and it offered the expected amenities like a kitchenette and shower.
Three days into the stay we had no housekeeping, and a call to the desk told us rooms were only cleaned after guests checked out. We pointed out that it was unreasonable to expect a five day stay with only one towel and wash cloth per guest. The manager begrudgingly had the room cleaned and restocked. Once.
We also notified the desk that the shower head leaked and getting warm not to mention hot water was hit and miss. The desk dismissed that issue saying a plumber had been called but they had no idea of when the plumbing might be repaired. It leaked the entire time we were there.
Lastly this place is difficult to find at night. It's on a dark curve and the entrance is not lighted. This may be a plus as missing this place would undoubtedly land you in superior lodging.
Avoid this place unless you're comfortable with dirty linen, moth-eaten curtains and apathetic management.
We’re there overnight for a wedding. Realized when we went to our room at 10pm that there was no bath mat, hand towels or wash cloths in bathroom. No heat working, even though there was a dial to turn on heat in the bedroom, there was no heat to be had. Very dated and shabby furnishings. Bed lumpy, railing and stairs crumbling and unstable. Other wedding guests also had heating problems. Expensive for what we got.
Super disappointed in the service. We came to enjoy a family night get away. There is no staff on duty. No tv remote. Honestly would’ve been off staying at home. What a bummer when we were looking for a simple night away, not looking for luxury just the basics. There is no bath mats, or cabinet doors. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
