I've been here several times to camp and just enjoy the out doors. Any truck or SUV can get you in as long as the weather is clear. Road gets slick and muddy in the rainy season. Usually very quiet at night but it is the split point for several different 4x4 trails so can be down right annoying during the day. Especially on weekends.

Always a great place to offroad, camp and shoot. The area has been cleared out more than in the past. The wash just behind is leveled no more boulders. I don't know if that's a good thing, but it's easier to move through the area now. Always a hot spot!

This abandoned ranch site in the Tonto National Forest was mentioned in the book "Arizona Cowboys" written by Dane Coolidge. It is shown on the 1907 US Dept. of the Interior Geological Survey map of the Roosevelt Quad. It is now a popular site for off-road enthusiasts.
