About Campground

Located east of Lake Holcombe, WI we offer one of the most serene settings you'll ever experienced.

Split Ridge features 3 modern seasonal cabins, each with 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, heat and A/C, a newly renovated bathhouse, and 23 campsites.

Campsites:

- 8 RV back-in sites with water, septic, and 30 amp electrical;

- 5 with water and 30 amp electrical; and

- 10 more with access to water.

The sites are nicely wooded with gravel driveway, there is an open shelter, called the Turtle Club, that overlooks the play area, and a 1.3-acre sand-bottom pond for swimming. The 160 acres that encompass the campground are very private, heavily wooded and located nearly a mile off the road. There are numerous trails for hiking, and ATV routes can be accessed directly off the property.

Our emergent marsh provides great habitat for waterfowl and other wildlife and is a wonder to behold. Come walk the trails and observe the two beaver lodges.

Great place off the beaten path. So peaceful with great amenities (some of the nicest bathrooms and showers I’ve seen at a campground) and good value. The one thing that could be improved is the mud/erosion on the tent sites we stayed on but the manager told us that going in. I would totally go back.

We stayed in one of the cabins, was over looking the pond great view to wake up to every morning deer every morning quiet, no outside traffic noises, peaceful and relaxing. The playground is great for kids and adults as there is a pavilion with different yard games and sand toys which kids enjoyed. Kids enjoyed swimming in the sandy pond, jumping off the dock, catching frogs, turtles and driving the paddle boat around the pond. Highly recommend this for a nice quiet getaway.*just throwing this out there but maybe try throwing some bluegil or something into the pond for fishing.

Great campground off the beaten path with the nicest campground bathrooms around. The area is extremely peaceful with great views and great owners. Cheryl and Taylor are always very accommodating and very friendly. I would highly recommend this campground to anyone!

Absolutely amazing cabins! My wife and I spent a few days in the Ravinwood cabin during the off-season to have some quiet time to ourselves, and the cabin itself was wonderful! Ready to go, AirBNB feel with everything needed, and AMAZING coffee! The campground is amazingly well taken care of, and the hiking trails are gorgeous, especially once the leaves start to change colors. To top it all off, one of the owners took time to come sit and chat with us around the fire and took time to detail some of the work that he's done to really turn the campground around. Highly recommend Split Ridge, and we can't wait to be back for another stay!

Highly recommend!

We stayed at this campground in mid-Summer of 2022. Four generations of our family stayed here together during this trip, ranging from toddler-age to "very wise".

The playground, and bathhouse had already received major updates, though the new owners were still in the process of updating and upgrading a few other things even while we were there. They shared some of their plans for the campground and it will continue to grow in the wow-factor in the future. :) But we felt it was already a great place to be with what they had currently done.

It's an absolutely beautiful location, very peaceful with no road noise or signs of civilization. The hosts are incredibly accommodating and there were so many tasteful updates. The cabins our family stayed in had nice, modern furniture and amenities. We appreciated the fire pit with neat lighting outside our cabin, and the view from the back deck.

It rained during our stay and one of the cabins our family stayed in had a great porch where the kids could still play and adults could visit, in spite of the rain. It also had a nice open area inside the cabin.

There is a lake and a nice little grocery store a few miles away, and we passed a brewery on our way in, hopefully we can visit the brewery next time we visit Split Ridge Campground!

Highly recommend this campground, especially if the idea of an outdated campground from the 70's isn't quite your cup of tea. :) It's a special place.
