I have been going to this place for years, and always had a wonderful experience. However on our latest visit we were treated very rudely by a man that I assume is the manager. My girlfriends family has a lot and trailer there, we've always used the trailer and pool and never had a problem. On this day we were informed by this man, that we weren't allowed to be there without the owners of the trailer, which would have been fine had the man not talked to my girlfriend the way he did. I've never seen her so upset, so I know he must have been extremely ugly to her. I don't understand how people can be so rude, especially when working with the public. I've never had this issue before but, I can safely say we will never return to South Sauty.
This is the sweetest place on the planet. Everyone is so nice. The food is good and the view is amazing.
Picturesque lakefront community that is as serene as it is beautiful and well kept. Very nice accomodations and the amenities surpass high end truck stops I have utilized before. My stay there was honestly a very therapeutic weekend that I needed, and will most definitely return to.
Your life will change for the better, or you will leave there a fulfilled person! Either way, it is A MUST SEE AND EXPERIENCE destination that deserves it's spot on Guntersville Lake!
Max, I owe you a debt (both monetarily and of gratitude) and the next time I'm there, I promise you I will make good on it.
Max, the manager of this "resort", is not friendly at all. He may pretend to be to get your 500$ a month....
only for him to show up at the pool 5 mins before closing and rudely/brusquely yell "pool's closed EVERYONE OUT!" When he clearly had already heard us getting the kids out and telling everyone it's time to go.
The way he spoke to us you'd think he had to repeat himself but nah he was rude from the jump
I mean dude you're early why be rude with us?
It would be different if you were on time but don't make us pay 500 a month then post a pool schedule and not stick to it!
Major jerk will not be moving to North shore campground next year
We are first time campers and happened upon the perfect spot at South Sauty. We plan on renting next year too, hopefully we can pay for the same spot we have this year! Highly recommend! It’s quiet and no drama if you don’t create the drama!
