Very easy stroll through a forest to some breathtaking views. It is so close to town, we were the only people there, it felt unreal. 😍

If you've been on a cruise ship with a few too many people, this is a great little hike away from it all. Carve out an hour or so. Take a book. Sit on the rocks.

Nice little bay. Has creek and shelter. Reachable via road or rough headland track. For the biologist, a wide barnacle-mussel zone with littorinids at the top. Google lists location as offshore from the beach. Not suitable for wheelchair/limited mobility access unless by boat.

This place felt like a hidden gem. It was a short home from town and it was well worth it. We were in Skagway in a cruise and decided to just walk around and see what we discovered. We ended up spending at least an hour at this beach once we got there.

If you hiked to Yakutania Point, you have to continue on your way to Smuggler's Cove. It's about 10 min. after Yak. Point. You wind your way around the port coastline, going up and down over roots and rocks, past rock walls and fir trees, finding your way by following little hiker signs on trees. Smugglers Cove offers a quiet, peaceful area from the other parts of the coastline. It would be a good place for a picnic, if you could bring food off a cruise ship.
