Located 7 miles south of Haines on Mud Bay Road to Chilkat State Park Road on the right.
We took a rafting trip through this remote area. There are many eagles to view.
If you like bald eagles or owls. If you like learning about wildlife in the area. Then this’s the place for you.
It is worthwhile only between late October to early December during the salmon run. I saw more eagles in Haines Town than in the reserve in late August
Took the float river trip through here in September. Saw tons of bald eagles. Really pretty area and a great excursion.
