The sites could stand to be a wee bit larger, but otherwise a very nice place. Lots of nice big trees make for lots of shade. They don't accept credit/debit cards, so bring plenty of cash or your checkbook.

Camped here as kids. Back to Butler to visit family and stayed here. The good: woodsy tall oak trees and shade. Really good ice cream stand

The bad: Continuous traffic in and out on the main road all day long. Cars that wouldn’t be towing an RV, golf carts out the Yang. They don’t dust suppress the road so it coats everything. Your camper, vehicle, grill/griddle. It blows right across your site. Little to no obeying the speed limit which makes a dust storm. If they’d suppress the dust with treatment the traffic wouldn’t be too bad.

No level tent spots, bathhouse antiquated and dirty with shower knobs that have to be held on with one hand while you attempt to bathe with the other.

People hang out in bathrooms sitting on counters all hours of the night playing on cell phones. Office only accepts cash but they have an ATM with $3 fee. Picnic tables at sights busted up and unusable. In general just extracting every dollar they can from facility while providing very little to the tent camper.

Nice campground with friendly workers that were so nice to help us out with a spot for the night while we were having truck problems. They were nice and waited for us to arrive later in the evening. Thank you for being so kind! They set us up with an easy pull through site. There are some nice nature trails there but we didnt have much time to check them out. I cant really say too much about the campground because we were only there one night. Thank you for a nice place to stay during a stressful situation!!
