From jct Hwy 99 & I-94: Go 2 mi W on I-94 (exit 121), then 7 mi N on 28 Mile Rd.
Horrible choice of a campground!!!!! Do not reserve a site here! I made reservations to camp over the 4th of July weekend 2023. My dates were set and I was waiting for the phone call to pay for my reservation. My friend wanted a site close to mine so she made multiple calls to try to reserve but they kept telling her the wrong dates and said they have proof in an email that I am telling her the wrong dates. They told my friend the site I'm on and everything not knowing that was actually my friend because they didn't ask me if I'm camping with someone else, they just took her word for it so basically anyone can know all of your info because they sent her a screenshot that included my full name and phone number. First of all they had my dates wrong and I have proof in the email I sent them. Second of all the lady who answers their phone is rude and doesn't listen. I FINALLY got ahold of them after calling on Saturday for 3 weeks in a row which is what I was told to do. Long story short I received a call from the owner saying I'm banned from camping there because I was rude to the worker. The owner never asked my side of the story. She never asked if the worker was rude. She literally called me irate and canceled my reservation and banned me because I told her worker not to give out my personal information to anyone who calls. I'm glad my money will go to another campground with people who are friendly and keep my information private. I don't recommend anyone camping there. It's horrible customer service and the owners obviously support bad employees over paying guests!
Rocky's is a nice, clean, fun, place to camp. Perfect for kayaking /fishing with channels & 5 lakes. Owners Rob & Vickie are helpful and fun. Willing to help any way they can if you need anything. Perfect for kids also if you have them. Holidays are fun and there are events you can participate in or not. Bathrooms and showers are well maintained and clean.
If zero stars were an option, that would be how many this campground deserves. It is run in a dictator fashion by people who are neither friendly nor respectful. Loyal seasonal campers can be banned for voicing concerns about the ever increasing amount of restrictions. The owners pick and choose who they allow to camp here based on a "feeling", even after the campers prove to be reliable and trustworthy. Save yourself the frustration and find a different campground.
Amazing campground, we absolutely loved camping here. The staff was overwhelming welcoming, and keep the campground very clean and maintained. We felt 100% safe with our child running around with the other kids. 10/10 will be camping again!
After finding the campground online, we were excited about our upcoming visit. My youngest daughter asked if we had checked the reviews, which made us a bit skeptical. However, our actual experience turned out to be different.
The campground enforces rules for safety and a hassle-free experience, preventing issues like unleashed dogs, unsupervised children near water, disruptive individuals, and speeding vehicles on-site. These rules prioritize basic safety.
The owners run the business efficiently, with a direct approach that I appreciate. They are accommodating and helpful in getting guests settled. Apart from one camper who seemed to be overindulging, we had a great time and plan to return.
Thanks to the team for their good work. We're looking forward to visiting again soon!
