From jct US 50 & Hwy 135: Go 6 mi N on Hwy 135, then 1/4 mi E on CR 10.
Everyway was Great! The look around showed everything you could possibly want.
The place was sparkling. The interior's rustic charm was accented by new knotty pine walls with new cabinets, bath, etc. Front door, window, rear & side windows all have screens. Great ! Great front porch with overhead roof and(Thanks for table & chairs). Grill was super clean with handy tools hanging right there. Great sound of the Gunnison River and cool sleeping. Special!!!
Love this place and Rob & Dani and their entire staff! Cozy, clean cabins, beautiful river, sunsets and the best hosts ever! Several cabins to choose from, riverfont right out your door! We will always stay here when visiting Gunnison. Highly recommend! 5+ stars!
My husband and I were looking a weekend get away and we found it here. Very relaxing and close to Crested Butte for some high lake fishing. Our cabin was next to river and had all the amenities we needed. They even have loaner pedal bikes for a bike ride . Fire pit for an evening fire by the river if ya would like. Danni and Rob (the owners) are very nice and knowledgeable of the surrounding areas as well. Will go back to this lil gem of a place again!
Beautiful property that is obviously very well taken care of. The cabins are very unique old structures that are VERY clean. Great place to get away from it all. Somewhat expensive compared to other campgrounds we've stayed but the overall upkeep and cleanliness of the property make it worth it. It's also very quiet so maybe the higher price keeps the "riffraff" away.
Rockey River Resort on the Gunnison River is truly an amazing vacation spot. We were perfectly located between Gunnison, Crested Butte, and several fantastic fishing spots along the Taylor and East River as well as the Roaring Judy State Fish Hatchery. The cabin was comfortable, VERY clean, and had everything we needed. Dani and Rob were wonderful hosts and gave us excellent tips on locations of where to fish and places to visit. The kids and dogs all but refused to climb back into the car on leaving day. (Super dog friendly BTW). Thank you so much for the memories, we will be back!!
