Mostly primitive camping, but we're improving all the time; and maybe won't come back here to update, so please call for details. Quiet, safe Ten acres flat land with no streetlights, and seldom any night time traffic; great for skywatching. If you're lucky, you'll be sung to sleep by the coyotes. Rockhounds, collect Serpentine rock and river rocks that were dredged in the 1930's gold mining of the Scott River. Easy access for RVs, even a semi truck! Near Kangaroo Lake, 8 miles to Etna which has grocery store, restaurants, sauna, massage, etc. Free swimming holes. Wildlife. Hunting, shooting possible as law allows. No fire in summertime due to fires in past years. Plenty room for solitude, RV turnaround easy. Drunks, tweakers, or loud parties will be removed immediately. We welcome everyone who respects the land and our property rights regardless of age, color, whatever. Fresh mountain spring water available. Outdoor kitchen and toilet in the barn, flush from a bucket of water. No running water on property, but fresh spring water available for your containers. There's also an Airbnb available here if you're in the mood for some country luxury:
this location is approximate; use the PHONE CALL, not email or text, to let us know your arrival time. We are located on South State Highway 3 in between the towns of Etna and Callahan in Northern California, about an hour from the Oregon border, and off the I-5 corridor.
