From jct I-5 & Hwy 44: Go 1 mi W on Hwy 44 to Exit 1, (Park Marina Dr); then go S 200 yards over the overpass to Park Marina Dr, then 8/10 mi to the park.
We really enjoyed staying here, even though it was just for one night. The park was maintained very nicely, people took care of their spots and didn't have 'stuff' all over. The bathroom/shower facilities were one of the nicest we have seen.
Front desk staff (I wish I knew her name so I could give her some props) was so friendly and helpful.
The walk to the beach was very nice, and the beach was beautiful.
I have read other reviews that comment on it being by the road, we were not bothered one bit by this! Our spot was one of the closer ones to the road and we had no issues with loud road noise, not sure what they're talking about.
100% would stay here again!
One of my favorite Thousand Trails locations to visit and stay! It’s cute and quiet, plus it’s only a 3-5 minute walk through the sand dunes to get to the ocean. If you need another reason to stay here, it’s only an hour away from Big Sur and Santa Cruz along with being next door to Monterey. Three of my favorite towns in California. This campground is amazing and I will always keep coming back here…
This is one of the best managed RV parks out there. Michael, the park manager, and the rest of the staff were always so kind and accommodating. We had some issues with our reservation and Michael took care of it directly. They had a fun scavenger hunt for the kids (which they loved). The campsites are super clean and modern. Great 50amp service, decent water pressure, our sewer connection needed to be repaired but still worked fine.
The freeway noise is for sure a bummer at this campground. But it’s well made up for with the incredible walk to the dunes and the beaches. Also very easy access to Monterey and Pacific Grove.
Super nice, quiet, clean place, dog-friendly, nice restrooms, and love the app laundry. The managers were so helpful and accommodating, and also the other employees. Close enough to walk to the beach and beach is dog-friendly. Would definitely stay here again.
We initially planned to stay for 4 nights. Then extended for another two weeks. We loved the RV Park and the location. Quick drive into Monterey or up to Moss Landing to see more wildlife.
You can tell the staff really care about this place. The bathroom and showers are spotless. Every site is carefully cleaned before new folks arrive. The office store has a bunch of things too.
We have a baby and a dog and really enjoyed the close access to the dog-friendly beach (right behind the RV park) and the state beach, also a short walk down the road.
