Directions

From Alturas travel north on US Hwy 395 approximately 38 miles to County Road 2. Turn east on County Road 2 and continue for 7 miles to the campground.

Great spot, gets cold at night, sunrise is late bc mountain above.

Stayed there in 2015. Rough drive up. Almost missed the left turn down to the lake. No amenities but nice to be out in the middle of nowhere. Shared camping with bothers Pat & Denis and their dog Charlie headed to Idaho. They caught plenty of fish. Hope they found gold.
