Quick 1 night stay on a beautiful weekend. Staff is fantastic and campground is very nice. We were down by the river and saw some wildlife.
Facilities are great. The bathroom and shower facilities are nice size and clean, if needed. The gift/convenience shop has some nice things if you forgot anything.
Only issue is that we were close to interstate and sometimes there was a little noise. We were told that it might happen and it was nothing terrible but it was there. All in all a great campground with fantastic people.
Great campground just 5 min outside of Owatonna, MN. Large, 10ft deep pool and a large kiddie pool. 3 different playgrounds. Train rides for kids on Saturdays. Dances, bingo, games, movies and more at the lodge. Cabins available. Sites for tents and rv. Very nice shower house/restrooms. A little river runs through that the kids had fun playing in as well.
Well didn’t like that our campsite backed up to another camper. I didn’t realize when booked, I thought we backed up to the river. First time we stayed here we were in the fork to the entrance. Super dusty, and traffic noise and train pretty constant. Otherwise, loved it. Clean, like that you can use golf carts, fun night life, and the owner let us use a 50 amp to 30 amp adapter, which was new and he just opened it for us. Thank you!
A great place for relaxing, the view of the river is awesome! The owners are super nice and helpful. The grounds, bathrooms are clean. Close enough to go every weekend. I’ll be back next year! I love it!
Went camping for Labor Day with our big family. The campsite is close enough to home and has lots of fun friendly activities advertised. Friday they had a teen night 9-11 which we walked our kids to and the lodge was dark with 2 kids inside but the park across was full of kids. So they went to the park. Saturday the kids went swimming and there were a huge group of kids being kids and playing the owner came in and started to scream at just our (mixed) kids. I told her I understand where she is coming from but she should yell at all kids not just ours. Later on the kids went swimming again an came back. We all went up as a family and the owner came up and started screaming at our kid once again saying you can’t be in the pool you know what u did. And we had no idea what was going on she said she had video proof our kids were being bad and made our whole family get out the pool. We all walked down to the office to watch the proof and she had none. We all went back to the pool but she was watching us the whole time. Monday is late check out at 2 pm we packed up our site really early and went swimming about noon-1:30 we than started to play mini golf which we thought would only talk 45min max. Took an 1hr 1/2 due to the corse being a bit crazy. Anyway we get done go back to our site about 2:30 and the owner comes up yelling at us that we are late for check out and we need to be out. All of our stuff was packed we where just waiting on everyone to get back so we could get in the cars and leave.
This campsite seemed great til we arrived and were pinpointed at the bad guys from the start for having mixed kids. We wanted to come back since it’s so close to home but due to everything that happened with the owners we will not be back.
