Loved this KOA! The host families were knowledgeable, friendly, respectful and fun. We had wood bundles as well as fresh hot pizza delivered to our site. The river/rapids were delightful to see and listen to. It's a small, wooded, well tended to koa and recommended!

This place really is a hidden gem!

I had the fortune of staying in the Deluxe Cabin and was blown away by the comfort and quality. While it was just myself, the cabin comes with more than enough space to sleep some family and friends and has an awesome full bathroom. Big though :), this doesn’t mean much, as you’ll spend most of your time on the porch next to your own fire pit, grill, and rocking chairs!

Most of my time was spent exploring the pristine property, enjoying the Nolichucky river that pretty much runs through the property, and downtown Jonesborough.

The location is amazing, with a few small towns to explore, and larger cities all within an hour drive (Johnson City, Bristol, Asheville).

If you’re looking for a home base while you explore Western Carolina and East Tennessee, be sure to put this on your list!

Beautiful views of the river, wild and roaring along. Use extreme caution with children in this area. All they need to do is to take one step into that current and they will be gone. There are danger and caution signs.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Good people.

The layout of the camp is very well done. The site signs are well marked and they use fairy lights in jars to mark the road. Really liked this place.

The staff extended a warm welcome and were very helpful. The facilities were impeccably clean! We loved having a cute patio area with furniture and fire pit.

We cherished a delightful morning stroll along the beautiful river bank. This is our second time staying overnight at a KAO site during our AT hiking travels and very pleased with our time here. CRUX & POW POW
