About Campground

Escape from the noise and heat of the city. Whether staying in our RV park or one of our rental cabins, you and your family will enjoy the upscale amenities, well maintained facilities and grounds, and fun activities for everyone.

Our RV park is located in northern Georgia near the border of North Carolina, at the confluence of the Blue Ridge and Appalachian mountains. The resort is near many natural attractions including the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

River Vista Cabin Resort and RV Campground is nestled in a valley surrounded by all natural wonders of perfect backpacking country. Go find a ruby or sapphire at one of the many gem mines or take a hike around Tallulah Gorge State Park. River Vista and Rabun County are home to waterfalls galore, vineyards (12 Spies), distilleries (Moonrise and RM Rose), museums (Foxfire and Scottish Tartan), and “pick-your-own” farms and orchards (Osage, Jaemor, Hillside, and Chattooga Belle). In the winter, take a sleigh ride at the Dillard House Stables, go snow tubing at Scaly Mountain Snow Tubing, and enjoy some skiing or snowboarding at Maggie Valley. Then, take a day to explore the Biltmore Estate in historic Asheville, NC and in all its holiday splendor. See more reviews [HERE]()

Didn't stay in a room, we were CAMPING. Wow what a wonderful place to stay. The staff were all very friendly and professional. The area itself was full of breathtaking views, we were 12 miles away from Highlands N.C, and close to Cashiers N.C. The fellow campers were very friendly. The grounds themselves were clean. It is places like this that makes MEMORIES .

Great RV park. We stayed for about 4 nights over Thanksgiving. It's just down the road from Julip which is a super nice restaurant/resort/shop... Fine dining...

River Vista was clean, well maintained, and quite attractive. The location is quiet.

My only complaint is that the office is only open from mid morning to mid afternoon. We had some things that needed attention and could not do any better than leave a message and hope someone responded.

We loved our stay at River Vista. Nestled in between beautiful mountains in almost every direction. It is a very clean, quiet place to escape for a few days in North Georgia. The full time residents were super welcoming and we enjoyed some rest and relaxation!

The staff here is very friendly and helpful. The sites are about as tight as can be. The restrooms are nice and clean. This is validly a resort because it has all of the amenities and in reasonable quality but it is by no means a high end resort. All of the RVs and park models are in good shape and presentable. There are practically no barking dogs or noisy campers. I don't know how they do it but they keep the place pretty peaceful. That doesn't mean it is quite, there are two roads one used to access a quarry which looms over the camp ground and dump trucks and jake brakes are not uncommon. I have always heard gunfire around the resort also, sometimes from several directions. They accept packages, you can wash your RV on week days and although there are no trails available from the park it isn't a very long drive to state parks and forest service trails.

The facility is well maintained with clean showers and bathrooms. We were greeted upon arrival and felt appreciated for staying at River Vista Mountain Resort. The resort is in the north GA mountains, with easy driving distance into North Carolina, Tennessee and northern Georgia to site see. We will certainly try to stay here again in the future when we come to this area.
