DO NOT BOOK HERE! THEY ARE EXTREMELY RUDE! I was trying to get information about the park and the gentleman (if u could call him that) was so rude! He acted as if I was a bother or like I was annoying for calling for information. I spoke with him 2 times and both times he was rude! DEFINITELY DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY, OR POSITIVE ENERGY ON THEM!! THEY ARE NOT WORTH THE 1 STAR BUT IF YOU DON'T PUT SOMETHING YOU CAN'T POST A REVIEW. I DON'T EVEN GIVE THEM A STAR!!!
We arrived at 10:15 pm Friday evening. First of all if you are into camping in a parking lot with no grass this is your place. For us we were not impressed! River access was very small and not very nice either. Not even enough grass at your site for dogs to go potty. As we were setting up neighbors a few spots down were reaving up their motorcycle for about 20 min. No consideration for the time. Saturday morning at 8:00 am neighbors German Shepard started barking. He was on a dog lead that reached under our rv. At this point we said let’s load up and go elsewhere. We weren’t gonna listen to his dog bark for 3 days. The dog continued to bark and kept jumping on me & my husband while we were trying to get everything unhooked & loaded. All the while the dog owner just sat on his step watching . We just kept pushing him off and I said your dog is on our site but he could care less. We stopped at the office to tell them we were leaving and what all had happened and the man just smirked at me. Never said I’m sorry for nothing, WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RV PARK!!!!!
Not too expensive compared to some parks and the river is nice. Only drawback is the extremely rude and somewhat aggressive campsite host Larry. Carla and Don are amazing. Larry ruins the experience over extremely minor/laughable circumstances.
I35 runs almost directly overhead (as other reviewers have noted). This was not a big deal though because the park was great. The river sites are beautiful and large enough for an additional vehicle. The dog park was very large and the river was a nice place to cool off or enjoy with a cup of coffee in the morning.
We'll definitely be coming back!
The spots are very nice cement slabs with nice hookups. Noise is an issue if you park under the bridge. The park itself is very run down, grassy areas no longer exist. We stayed here several years ago, which is when the pictures were taken for the website. It no longer looks like this. It has many residential sites with run down looking rvs. Window units hanging out etc...
