My absolute favourite place to go when I'm in the area. Took my Dad for lunch and he loved it too and he is a hard person to make happy when it comes to food.

One of my favorite meals here is the shrimp and grits I highly suggest it.

Update...

I came to Renegades a few weeks ago with friends that had never been there with a few who have and quite honestly the service outside at the bar sucked! We must have sat at a table for 15 minutes with nobody coming to asked us if we wanted a drink or even a menu. There was three very young ladies standing there that were bartenders and servers chatting away with each other absolutely ignoring the fact that there was customers there looking to be served. One of the people in my party of five had to actually walk up to the bar and ask if anybody was ever going to come over and ask us for our drink order That's what it took to get service. We also had to go up to the bar to ask for somebody to come back over and get us another order because once again they were standing around having their little chit chat gossip session. That was Saturday evening the 27th.

My other disappointment was I ordered two of the shrimp and grit meals that I talked up with my friends how good it is but to my disappointment it was nothing like it was last year that's for sure not even comparable. It was lacking sauce and seasoning it was quite bland and the grits were absolutely chunky with barely any creamy in sight. What a major disappointment..

These issues won't keep me from coming back but management sure needs to fix some of the issues there because it can only get worse without some kind responsibilities taking place which it's lacking in the kitchen and bar outside.

A nice leisurely drive ended up taking us to Renegades.....first off when you come in off the road, it's a well maintained RV park....just big enough a few cabins that looked cozy off to the side and a well stocked camp store.

Seated immediately on the outside deck with a pond view....across from the well attended tiki bar and with a view of the marina and the St John's.

We ordered the New England Clam Chowder.....I heard it was spectacular as well as the nachos..no meat....fresh and plentiful.

Next up was 2 orders of fried shrimp meals with fries, hushpuppys, and a yummy cole slaw.

Not greasy or gummy.

There was music from the tiki bar that sounded pretty good.

All round great place to stop!

4.5 stars if available to rate it such.

We were in RV pull thru site 15. Paver site with fhu’s, picnic table, some grass and palm trees. The grounds here are very nice and clean.

Very nice place, but no wifi. Cell service was good though. CATV is available with cable box from the office (a bit of a challenge to connect, but it worked well and I was able to watch the NFL playoffs). OTA only produced 3 channels! Fire pits are available from the office too. (We bought firewood, $10, from the campground store twice and neither time did it burn well.)

There are 3 pickleball courts, boat ramp and boat rental, pool, laundry, pool table, tiki bar and restaurant. The tiki bar and restaurant are open to the public. Live music in the tiki bar on Wed-Saturday nights with music ending at 11pm. We didn’t have any issues with noise, however.

Prices at the park (store, restaurant, and tiki bar) are reasonable. They had a chili cook-off while we there and that was fun. We tried the restaurant, and it was very good. They have daily specials and ½ priced cheeseburger on Monday’s. The also have a nice selection of bourbon. If staying at the rv park, you get a 10% discount on food. NFL playoffs were on the tv in the bar area.

It is a bit remote and the nearest grocery store, Winn Dixie, is 15 minutes away. There is a small hardware store within walking distance.

I received a %10 Senior discount $69 per night for week). We enjoyed it so much; we booked the same site for 2025.

So much fun!!! We brought the RV and enjoyed ourselves so much. The tiki bar was great with live music. We rented a boat slip and spent one whole day at Silver Glen Springs. We will be back for sure!!

This is a nice restaurant, actually the entire setup here is really nice. The restaurant is nicely decorated and has a large bar. I ordered the Thai Shrimp for an appetizer and it was good until I bit into one and I think it was in a state of rot because I almost tossed up all the others, that was the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. I also ordered the Renegade Pizza and that was really good. The service was awesome, the bartender was friendly and attentive. The tiki bar is a small walk from the restaurant and has a limited food menu although it comes from the restaurant. The view of the water is great. I recommend trying this place if you are in the area.
