What a great base for exploring Big Bend National Park. This great campgrounds suited our needs for a close campsite yet remote enough for privacy. The campgrounds are clean, camping areas spread reasonably far apart, showers/toilets were clean and a nice addition. The owner was very personable and pleasant, delivered wood to us, emptied trash and recyclables bins. We had great star views at night around our campfire. We would go back. Only a few minutes from town and gas/grocery/coffee. Price was reasonable.

Great little place for camping outside of Big Bend. Sites are clean and easy to get to. Showers and toilets for hygiene. Fire pit makes things easy for building a fire and firewood for purchase. Run by a very kind duo and with some lovely scenery and at night, if clear, amazing star gazing. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone and would come back to in a heartbeat.

This was a nice campground. Quit far from big Bend National park but it was okay as a last minute choice. But very inconvenient driving each way to park was about 40 minutes. Our car takes premium gas and the stations were out in that area. (Terlingua) Not all camp sites are equipped with cover over picnic table. With the heat of the morning, day, and evening, it’s best to request the picnic table have cover before he assigns a site. Sites are expensive. It was my son and I and we were charged 15$ each per day. So 60$ for two nights. $2.50 for ice bag. 5$ each laundry load to wash.

Love this place and can't wait to stay here again. We had a cover at our site and they allowed us to camp in our van with no tent which was really nice. Showers and baths clean, grounds very clean. You can choose either a valley site or a ridge top site. Surrounding desert was clean and I was about to bushwhack it pretty far out. No wildlife sightings of note, but we were here in late December and it was a bit chilly.
