It was one of the most ghetto places I’ve ever camped! We didn’t even have a picnic table and we were told we couldn’t have a fire but someone on the other side of the circle had one. The rv sites are super close and the lady that met us at our site looks like she sits around and smokes meth all day! The prices they charge are ridiculous for what it is! $110 for 2 night, plus there’s a sign saying no wadding in the creek ( apparently dogs included) because of an endangered greyling! Yea right! Also, if you’re not fly fishing and you catch and release ( from their sad little ponds) they charge $30 for every fish you put back?!? Who does that. If you have little ones it’s fun watching them fish but again any fish they catch is $6 per fish!! This place is a joke and I will NEVER stay there again! I’m so mad I paid that much could’ve gone to BLM land and been much happier! Beyond awful and the tent sites looked pretty pathetic, too! Save your money and go somewhere up the road that’s a lot nicer!

A great place to camp in Conifer. Wonderful and very helpful camp hostess. We will definitely stop there again when we are in the area. Super cute Trout fishing pond out front.

Under new management- Still some kinks to work out with the Rv sites but we were happy with a very pretty spot on the creek. They were not overcrowded. Everything seemed recently mowed and nice. Very close to the state park where all sites were booked up for the season. My daughter loves trout fishing and I hate bringing all the gear and cleaning fish so win win

My family loved it here! Be advised there are not many amenities for tent campers but for us who had a full service camper it was perfect! We loved how remote this place was, we saw a lot of beautiful wild life, and at the same time it was only 10 min from some of the local shopping centers that had everything we needed. I heard the fishing can be pricey but everyone we saw caught one so if you want your kids to be guaranteed a fish this is the place to go. If we come back this way we will definitely stay here again! I think a lot of people expect full hookups etc and this place doesn’t have that. They have water and electric though and a dump station so it’s not all bad. The lady owner can be rough on the edges but if you talk with her with respect instead of entitlement she is pretty cool.

This review is strictly about the tent camping. I did not go for the fishing. I needed a campsite for a wedding in the area, and this looked perfect. Booked online easily, right down the road from where I needed to be.

When we arrived, I had trouble locating the office. I saw one door marked upstairs, so I checked and it was locked. I knocked, and a young man opened the door. I told him I had a reservation for tent camping and he pointed up the side road stating it was that way. I asked if I needed to check in and was informed that if we paid online we didn't need to.

I drove up the side road and passed an area marked as the tent sites. It was a small area with tall grass. I drove further up the road hoping to find something else and found the crowded RV area. Also found the two port-a-pots for toilets. Went back to the tent area and stomped down some grass to set up our tent. There was a fire ring, so that was nice. The grass was taller than the ring though. We ended up laying out a tarp to put our chairs on so we didn't have to sit in the tall grass. As it was we were able to use only about 1/4 of the campsite we had paid for because of the tall grass.

If you're looking for someplace to put your tent, good luck. I'd keep looking if possible. They apparently only care about the fishing and RV customers.
