On August 9, we had a small family wedding here. It was exactly what the bride and groom wanted. The weather was perfect and the barn worked well for shelter for our food. We ate lunch on the outdoor picnic tables, enjoying the views and the warm day. While cleaning up, we had a deer come fairly close.
There are two new pit toilets but the doors were locked. There was also a large portapotty we were able to use.
There were tables and chairs in a storage closet in the barn.
There isn't a playground but the kids enjoyed exploring near the barn and crossing the bridge.
Interestingly, a path for hikers and fisherpeople goes right by the waterfront near the barn. Plenty of people walked through before and after our wedding ceremony by the water, but we were fortunate that none of them interrupted or photobombed!
Beautiful , perfect place for a wedding celebration...
Great area for camping, fishing, hiking all surround is great.
we love it.
very well maintained.
Very beautiful, peaceful, easy trail down the east Bank of the Colorado River.
Beautiful rustic bar next to the Colorado river. The gate was closed when we were there we were not able to drive all the way to the barn. It’s about 1/3 of a mile walk one way. We saw several people fishing in the river, and it would be a nice place for a picnic. You may want to bring bug spray if you’re sensitive to insect bites.
