I had read the other reviews before booking my cabin, so I wasnt sure what to expect! However, when we drove in, campers were outside playing basketball and other yard games, and kids playing on the playground, and it seemed like a quaint and fun place. the staff was friendly when I arrived and the man at the desk located my reservation immediately, took about 5 min total to check in. The (4 person) cabin was very simple but was so pretty, clean, and quaint. The bathrooms nearby were very clean. We stayed near the private/handicap bathroom which also had a shower. My boyfriend and I were both impressed with the accommodations. I have stayed at KAO cabins in Virginia and kind of knew what to expect....but I hadn't told my boyfriend about the mixed reviews before arriving, and he still raved about the cabin the whole stay and insisted that 1-we come back and 2- that I leave a good review. We only stayed one night, and spent most of that day out in downtown Fort Collins...but we had a quiet night sleeping and upon preparing to leave the next day and checking out, the staff were very friendly to both of us, and everything went pretty seamless.

Stayed here a couple of months while visiting family in town. It was a strange place not up to par with other KOAs we’ve stayed at. Run down and in need of repair and maintenance. Not kept clean with litter and dog poop around. Sites rarely cleaned between campers. Fire grates had trash in some sites. Highway is very loud especially noticeable at night. Did not feel very safe as not locked at night and next to highway. Had a distressing situation with a camper next to us. We were never told what was going on to reassure us that we were safe or offered a chance to move sites. Owners seemed completely uninvolved with running their campground. I would not recommend staying here. I’m rating it a 2 because good area to walk dogs and good location for access to Poudre Canyon.

I read the reviews online and was put off by what I read.

We came from Iowa to Colorado over Labor Day weekend and when our first come first serve site was booked we needed a place.

I hesitated to call for a booking but was desperate. I am so glad I did. The campground workers were all so nice. We were able to get an electric site very close to the bathrooms which were very clean and hot water!

The outside kitchen was so nice to be able to wash out dishes. Our two children loved the play grounds.

I am not sure what the other reviewers expected but what we expected exceeded our expectations.

Thanks to this KOA for allowing us a lovely experience.

Great place to relax! Owners were amazingly friendly and helpful. Cabins are clean and comfortable. Store was expensive and understocked but you're so close to town it's worth the drive.

Beautiful veiws from the campground close to fort collins and poudre canyon scenic byway and more. Was hesitant to stay here because the reveiws, but we went with it plus it was cheap and its awesome highly recommend.
