This review is strictly about the tent camping. I did not go for the fishing. I needed a campsite for a wedding in the area, and this looked perfect. Booked online easily, right down the road from where I needed to be.
When we arrived, I had trouble locating the office. I saw one door marked upstairs, so I checked and it was locked. I knocked, and a young man opened the door. I told him I had a reservation for tent camping and he pointed up the side road stating it was that way. I asked if I needed to check in and was informed that if we paid online we didn't need to.
I drove up the side road and passed an area marked as the tent sites. It was a small area with tall grass. I drove further up the road hoping to find something else and found the crowded RV area. Also found the two port-a-pots for toilets. Went back to the tent area and stomped down some grass to set up our tent. There was a fire ring, so that was nice. The grass was taller than the ring though. We ended up laying out a tarp to put our chairs on so we didn't have to sit in the tall grass. As it was we were able to use only about 1/4 of the campsite we had paid for because of the tall grass.
If you're looking for someplace to put your tent, good luck. I'd keep looking if possible. They apparently only care about the fishing and RV customers.
