Great place friendly it’s just a really good place. I don’t even know how to describe it.
The half mile road to the campground is terrible. It took about 25 minutes to get into the campground. The sites were poorly taken care of and the 2 lots that we had did not have picnic tables. The only plus was the rest rooms and showers were very clean. The laundry facility was out of order while we were there. Definitely not worth the money.
The 1/2 mile road in was so full of pot holes that it took 25 minutes to drive in. The sites were good size, but the sewer hook-ups were open...no caps and had several pot holes as well. The bathrooms were clean, and the small beach was cleaned every night. We will not go back because of the road and site conditions. There was no picnic table for our sight or our family 's site either. The laundry had 2 washers and dryers, but they didn't all work.
Our first time camping here and we love it! Kim in the office is great, the beach area is very nice and the views on the water are beautiful, & the facilities are clean and convenient! It has many seasonal sites but everyone is extremely friendly. Lots of activities for children and great fishing here also! There is a boat launch also which is super convenient. We will continue to camp here for sure!
I like this campground, but it has many needs to get a great review. Starting with the road into the campground. It's horrible. Full of potholes and mud when raining. Brush growing in on the sides making passing an oncoming vehicle impossible without dragging brush down the sides of your camper. Bathrooms have two toilets that doors will not lock and at times backed up. Has showers also. Camp sites are tight and close together. Large pine trees encroach all lots. Branches fall frequently. Most lots are taken by seasonal renters. Has a nice beach, horse show pits, pavilion, game room, playground. Has a sewer dump and a portable dump service that comes around. Drainage is horrible. When raining water runs through all lots and some get flooded. On-site management, nice people but overwhelmed with issues. Nice food options at grill. Small boat launch, rocky and narrow. Rocks in the launch everywhere. Watch your prop until far out in the lake. Nice bass fishing. Shallow, weedy lake. Prices fair. Friendly people.
