About Campground

There’s nothing quite like the southern coastal area of Maine. It may be a relatively short drive from most of New England, but it’s far from ordinary. There are **beaches and inlets to explore**, thick **pine forests**, **one-of-a-kind treasures and crafts**, and much more – and located in the heart of it all is Huttopia Southern Maine.

A **deep freshwater pond** and **mature forest** set the stage. Choose from a variety of wood and canvas tents to fit your needs, or select a Vista tiny house and enjoy the surroundings through large glass walls and screened porches. Relax and breathe deep. **Everything you need is here.**

Our bistro is available with fresh, handmade foods throughout the day, so you can enjoy a paddle, a swim in the heated pool, a yoga class or game, or hop in the car for a beach excursion to nearby Kennebunkport or Ogunquit.

A great "glampimg" spot that is VERY kid friendly. There is always something going on to keep the little ones entertained. When we were there, there was a band on Sat night that aas great. Great local beer selection at the lodge. The lodge has tons of board games and books in case it rains.

The huts are comfortable. Having toilets, and showers inside is great. Pool was clean as well as all shared restrooms.

A Wonderful Family Getaway with a Few Eight-Legged Friends

My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at a fantastic glamping spot, and overall, it was an incredible experience. This place is truly a haven for families seeking adventure and relaxation in the great outdoors.

The tents provided were undoubtedly a highlight of our stay. Spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped, they exceeded our expectations. The comfortable beds(bunk beds for kids !!!) ensured a restful night's sleep

The centerpiece of the site, a picturesque pond, was a source of endless entertainment. We spent hours swimming in its crystal-clear waters. The serene surroundings provided a peaceful backdrop for some much-needed family bonding time.

The clubhouse, with its array of activities for kids, was a hit with our little ones. From arts and crafts to outdoor games, there was always something to keep them engaged and entertained. It allowed us parents some much-needed relaxation time while the kids had a blast.

Now, onto the food – the pizza here was nothing short of delectable! It's a must-try during your stay, and it quickly became a family favorite.

However, I must address the one downside of our otherwise fantastic experience: the prevalence of spiders in the tents. While we understand that being close to nature comes with its critters, the number of spiders in our tent was a bit overwhelming. It's the one aspect that could use some improvement.

In conclusion, this glamping spot is an ideal destination for families looking to unwind and have fun in the great outdoors. The comfortable tents, the lovely pond, the clubhouse activities, and the delicious pizza all make for an unforgettable stay. Just be prepared to share your tent with some eight-legged neighbors. Despite this minor drawback, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would recommend it to other families seeking a memorable outdoor adventure.

This is our third year at Huttopia. The last two we stayed in the White Mountains, but decided to try out the Southern Maine location for this year. It's so hard to decide which one I like better as they are very similar and overall excellent. I think this location edges out NH just slightly because of the better lodge and activity area which can be helpful on a rainy day.

Splurging for a lakefront tent is a must. The staff is super helpful and friendly. We tried a few food items from their cafe and everything was great. Activities were great for kids, especially the magician. The lake is perfect for our kids to play and the pool is just as great. This trip is one I look forward to every year and I know we will be back next year!

The only, only, only thing that can improve our stay is adding just a small fan to the tents. Because this is labeled as "glamping", that feels like must. They can be pretty hot during the day and if you have small kids that need to nap, it isn't ideal. Otherwise, we love everything about this place!

Went there with family and friends. All accommodations were great. The lake view ones are superb! The trappeurs (tents) don’t have a great heating system. So take your space heater with you if you’re going on the colder months. There was a hike, fishing, pool, grills, fire pits, kayaks. There was something for everyone. We went off season so we didn’t get to see the group activities organized by Huttopia. Overall a great experience. We would go there again.

This was my family's first time camping in Maine. The site is clean and well-kept. The actual pitched rooms are great! We ended up using the fire for most of our meals and the in-house kitchen was very appreciated for cleanup and storage. The in-house bathroom was also very appreciated as we have children. Activities were fun and the boating facilities were great. We are all looking forward to coming next year. The crepes were delicious also.
