This campground is a great place with outstanding owners and great campers. We love it there. This is our 2nd yr as campers for my family but my parent have been there for many years and love it.

We camped there for 8 years as permanent campers, and 3 years as weekenders before that. Everything was fine until this last year. We were on a list to move to a lakeside lot and it was finally our turn. New management started in July 2014, and agreed that the spot was ours and assured us nothing had changed. 2 weeks before we were to move, management "changed their mind". They gave our spot to other people.

I feel that if they were going to change the rules....it should have been done right away. They needed to honor their word and follow through on the promises already made.

Be warned.....don't believe what they say.....they can "change their mind" anyway!!!

My parents were seasonal for 30+ years, my dad passed away unexpectedly at the end of the season. Knowing they had paid for storage for the camper for the winter there, we went out to winterize it and start collecting things from the site/camper. We were greeted by the owners right away and told we had three weeks to get everything off the site, they needed to get it ready for the next people. They reluctantly agreed to let us leave the camper until the spring, being that our mother was also ill we didn't have time to move the camper. I understand it is their business but the fact that my parents had been such long-time seasonals meant virtually nothing. It was very apparent in the spring that we were old news for them, they moved our camper across the street with a flat tire (they did help us fix that), they also helped us sell some things but then forgot to send some of the $$$, had to call and remind them that they owed $$$. They also charged us more than I thought it was worth, to pull a boat lift out of the water, we spent a lot of summers growing up at that campground but the way we were treated at the end was just cold and unnecessary. Would not recommend this place to anyone who wants to be treated like a person instead of part of their business.

I just read the response from the owner to my review. It seems our perceptions on what happened are a little different, which is normal. The one thing I didn't appreciate on there response was being told they suspected we did something illegal. Neither of my parents were cremated so if there was anything spread on their property or the lake it was not by us.
