It's quiet. Simple. Convenient. Wildlife. Hear coyotes and frogs nightly. Top it off with a nice lady like Miss Bev and it's truly a diamond in the rough. We love it. Will add photos soon. There are nightly and monthly rates. Very reasonable price. Around $500 or less monthly and $35 or something like that for a night.
We really enjoyed this quiet spot.
Just outside of the St. Park. Nothing fancy. In an old farm houses back yard. Overlooks soy bean and corn fields. 4 sites with electricity and water. Picnic tables, firepits ,2 porta potties and a large shower room. All were clean. Bev was very gracious to us. A good base to explore from. Pet ok. No playground equipment. Large mowed area.
What started as a nice little campground, turned into a nightmare. There were so many earwigs that it literally kept me from sleeping. They numbered in the thousands in my tent. Bev tried to make us burn all our trash because she said she couldn't afford garbage pickup. We weren't told about her showers that she said she wasn't fixing. She wants to charge a buck per piece of wood. She rode down on her mower several mornings barking orders at us. The last 2 weeks we were there she refused us toilet paper. It was always so windy we simply could not do anything enjoyable outside.
Bev keeps a clean camp site. Located in the middle of a wheat field you can have a quiet time. There are no showers. The port a potty is the nicest I have ever used.
I really enjoyed my stay here it was quiet, peaceful. Gorgeous sunset. Could hear coyotes. Had the campground to myself. Definitely will stay again ❤️
