Pinewood Lodge Campground is located outside Plymouth, Massachusetts, on a 50-acre fresh water lake and has over 3,000 feet of lake frontage as well as a six-acre island. The campground offers traditional tent and RV campsites, as well as cottages, yurts and cabins.
This past weekend we visited our friends here in transit. Let's just say NONE of us will be back...(6 campers with over 50 of us in total) to this Natzi-ran place! Between the rude seasonals, overgrown trails to the bathrooms, the 9pm GTFO rule, God forbid you're sitting around your fire burning out with a few people! If it's 12 midnight watch out cuz their coming with their fire hose to rain on your camping parade! One of the workers named Craig let us all all stay past 9 pm without overnight passes because we gave him money. The next day he comes back and tells us because he got into trouble by his superiors he couldn't do that again the next night. When we asked where our money was then for the night before since it wasn't allowed he told us to deal with the office. So we tried buying overnight passes so we wouldn't have to deal with a 9pm curfew but we were told Transit guests couldn't purchase them. Very confusing and alot of miscommunication. Needless to say if you're visiting beware..at 9 pm Officer Doofy comes around on his golf cart with his flashlight and starts checking everyone's license plates and tags. Ridiculous we pay enough money to use your place not to mention how disgusting the pond is and we have to be out at 9 because the Granny's need their sleep or maybe the bears?
We rented a camper and stayed for one week at this beautiful campground. You'll find spacious sites, friendly staff and a large beach with a lake to swim and fish in. The beautiful scenery and easy access to cities like Boston and Salem made this the perfect spot for us! Just be sure to bring lots of bug spray!
Living super close, I wanted to check this place out to bring my nieces and nephew to camp out.
Since I was riding a bicycle, the 2 women helping me explained they wanted to ask the woman on the phone.
When she got off, she addressed the question with a rude scoff of a laugh, and exasperation…super annoyed….
In front of 2 other employees- setting such a negative and rude example of how it’s ok to talk to potential visitors?? Are you kidding me? Such a nasty taste in my mouth.
I explained no biggie, I’ll come back in car.
But, no.
I won’t.
Whoever I dealt with needs to learn some manners.
So many other beautiful options!
