No hot water for 3 nights stay. Dirty and terrible bathroom. We took shower with ice cold water with broken $0.25 coin starter.
Shame on the owners to let this campground go to $hit .
The valley is so beautiful, a complete and unfortunate contrast with the management of this camp . Shame on them
This is one of our favorite places to go to in the Catskill, beautiful mountain views from your campsite on the river in a peaceful valley. They have large RV or Travel trailer campsites water and sewer 30/50 amps sites are available, The restrooms are clean no cell or wifi reception or cable hook up. The owner was very friendly, but a little hard to find if you need wood or supplies in the camp store. Get anything you need when you check in...lol. They had walkie talkie at the front door that never worked for me. I finally found someone to help me get firewood. Overall a great place to get Away from everything.
Do you and your family a favor and move on to any other campsite.
1. The staff (if you can find them) are rude and want nothing to do with you or any issues you may come across.
2. The cabins are basically from 1784 and in rough shape. I'm all for a vintage setting, but leaks and the smell like something died is a bit over the top.
3.The guy in charge who tramples around like your presence is bothering him, completely lacks manners and acts like you and your family aren't even there. We didn't expect them to be overly social but at least acknowledge when someone waves or says hello.
4. This is not the establishment you want to visit if your expecting hot water with your showers. So yes it costs 25cents for cold showers.
5.I blame myself partly because I had an idea what we were in for right after the gate closed and we checked in. But you live and learn and this is one place that will never have to worry about getting our business again.
The view at the campsite is beautiful but it stops there. The owner Arnie is as nasty/rude as they come, if he says the grass is blue then it’s blue, far from a businessman..unless your a seasonal RV camper that’s been there for 20 years and kisses his A$$ he can careless about you or your questions / concerns.. the store up front is open whenever they feel like opening there’s no actual business hours.. the walkie talkie they have hanging there to contact them is useless since they barely ever answer to the radio..I normally don’t write reviews but I’m telling you stay away from this place..there’s plenty other beautiful campgrounds in the Catskills for RV”s and tenters to go to that have a lot more to offer.. BELIEVE me when I tell you the way the owner Arnie talks to people is disgusting.. i spoke to a few seasonal campers who felt the same way and said he inherited the property/business otherwise this guy wouldn’t make it 2 days outside of his campsite
