This recreation area is part of Stockton Lake
We like to go to this place to have good steak for dinner. They do it right, and the staff are great.
On occasion, we might order a drink, and they are always spot on with those as well.
If you're into burgers, they have a burger with their very own candied bacon that will blow your mind!!! Yes, that candied bacon is certainly a part of what makes it so amazing!
The appetizer sampler (I can't recall the actual name of it) is certainly worth it! There's a ton of food that you'll get when you order it, and you'll be glad that you did!
There really aren't very many places left that make you want to return again, but Ozarks is one that will!
Lunch or dinner, whichever you choose, you'll be pleased that you took the time to visit here!
Right on the water, lots of Sailboats are docked & a restaurant right there. There was a bar, but we didn't go.
We were a group of 30+ & had a great group room with outside deck! Our room felt like we were in a Tree house!
We stopped here for lunch!!! Beyond impressed. Clean, nice, super friendly people. Great food and great prices....highly recommend and we will be back for sure!!
The staff is amazing and very attentive. We came down for a Halloween party and they party like no other. The DJs were so much fun. We had dinner before the party and the food was very delicious and lots of portions.
We stayed at the hotel on site and the room was clean and the king size bed was very comfy. Highly recommend this resort.
Checking in is always a disaster. Per standard operating procedure at the hotel, no one was at the front desk to check me in. When I walked in, another customer was standing there. Poor guy looked like he had never stayed there before. Pacing in the lobby, not knowing what to do. They leave a sign with a phone number to call if someone isn't there. No one answered when he called. No one answered when I called. On attempt #2 to check in, at a later time, someone at the restaurant (not attached to the hotel) answered and sounded VERY bothered that I wanted to check in. "We were just over there" was the response. Apparently they would have been less put out if I ask when it was convenient for them for me to check in. Another friend attempted to check in the next day (Saturday, busiest day of the week for them), to find no one at the desk. She attempted to call twice with no one answering the phone. Once someone answered, at another one of her attempts to check in around dinner time, they were VERY rude on the phone, stating that they needed that staff member at the restaurant. Again making us feel that they were put out by having guests at the hotel.
Comfort: Comfort is not their thing. The pillows are awful, lumpy and hard. They feel like they were bought used only to be used by guests. The beds are hard. The TV didn't work. The phone had no dial tone (I was just trying to call someone in another room). The lights are bright white... nothing relaxing about it.
Convenience: They are the only hotel right on the Marina. They get to not put any effort into their hotel. They know there are not other Marina options.
Restaurant: Slow, RUDE RUDE RUDE staff. Drive into town and eat at the Squeeze In or The Boathouse. Even Sonic is a better experience.
Overall, skip this place. It is worth the less than 5 minute drive to stay at The Cabins at Stockon Lake. PLEASE don't mistake those for the cabins at Orleans Trail. Those are even more of a disaster than the hotel.
